Getting started

Ghost CMS Editor connects to your own Ghost blog using the Admin API. In your Ghost admin, create a custom integration (Settings → Integrations → Add custom integration) to get an Admin API key, then add your site in the app using your blog’s address and that key. No account or sign-up is needed — the app talks directly to your server.

How it works

Write posts in Markdown, add images from your photo library, and save them as drafts, schedule them, or publish immediately. Everything syncs directly with your Ghost instance. Your site connections and keys sync privately across your own Apple devices through end-to-end-encrypted iCloud; your posts always live on your own Ghost server.

Requirements

iPhone or iPad running a recent version of iOS/iPadOS, and your own Ghost blog (self-hosted or managed) with Admin API access.

Common issues

Can’t connect to your blog — Check that your blog address is correct and reachable, and that the Admin API key was copied in full. The key must come from a custom integration with Admin API access.

Images won’t upload — Image uploads go straight to your Ghost server, so confirm your Ghost instance accepts uploads and you have a working connection.

Settings not appearing on another device — Site connections sync through your private iCloud. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled. Sync is optional; without iCloud the app still works, keeping settings on-device only.
